Miguel Torres 2017 Cordillera de los Andes Vigno Old Vines Dry Farmed Parcela-Huerta Maule Carignan (Maule Valley)

Ripe berry and prune aromas announce a slightly desiccated nose that includes hints of juniper and tobacco. Angular core acidity and pulpy weight make for a slightly disjointed palate feel, while this Carignan from a hot vintage tastes of ripe black fruits, including raisin. Heat and rubbing tannins drive the finish. Michael Schachner
