Miner 2002 Merlot (Napa Valley)

They don't get much riper than this wine, with powerful, almost over-the-top black currant and black cherry flavors. It's a big wine, but nicely balanced, with rich, complex, smooth tannins and very nice acids. Oak plays a supporting, not dominant, role. The finish is dry. Drink now.
