Mitchell 2003 Watervale Riesling (Clare Valley)

Editors' Choice

Fresh grass and hay lend a slight sweetness to wheat notes on the nose. As is the case with other area 2003 Rieslings, the mouthfeel on this one is full, not racy, as were last year's wines. The palate offers yellow stone fruit and citrus flavors buried under a heavy layer of rock. By the finish, fresh lemon flavors are back at the fore.
