Mommessin 2000 Reserve (Fleurie)

The nose is a bit heavy, bordering on weedy and murky but not quite succumbing to that. However, the earthiness that such aromas portend does come through on the palate along with black plum and chocolate flavors. The wine feels right on the tongue, but it's missing clarity and pop.
