Sweet and dusty aromas of Bing cherries rise up from the glass, followed by a nice dose of fresh strawberry fruit. The mouth is properly acidic, so it seems juicy and ripe. While it's totally fruit-forward and young, the wine carries a mild but welcome dark edge and a hint of smoke. The mouthfeel is warm and substantial.
