Monochrome 2016 Barrel Distortion Albariño (California)

Full bodied and full flavored, this substantial wine combines intense fruit flavors with bold, buttery and spicy accents. It feels mouthfilling and rich but has enough good acidity for liveliness and balance. Fine print on the label says this is made from Albariño, and it's a most unusual and enjoyable example of the Spanish varietal. Jim Gordon
