Monteraponi 2018 Il Campitello Riserva (Chianti Classico)

#59 Top 100 Cellar Selections 2022
Return to List

Forest floor, baked plum, new leather and tobacco aromas shape the nose. Elegantly structured and savory, the taut, linear palate is all about focus and finesse, featuring ripe black cherry, crushed raspberry, star anise and grilled herbs framed in tightly knit, refined tannins. Fresh acidity keeps it balanced. It's still youthfully austere and promises great aging potential. Drink 2024–2038. Kerin O’Keefe
