Moonbase Cellars 2019 The LGM G-S-M (Walla Walla Valley (WA))

Editors' Choice

This is one of the inaugural releases from the winery, and what a start. It was named after the first pulsar ever seen, which was discovered in 1967 and labeled LGM-1 for “Little Green Men.” Mourvèdre (40%) takes the lead on this wine, followed by equal parts Grenache and Syrah. With fruit from Dugger Creek, Rockgarden and Les Collines, brooding aromas of boysenberry, herbs and spice are followed by full-bodied, supple, textured fruit flavors that capture the attention. Pulling no punches, it's hedonism in a glass. Sean P. Sullivan
