Mount Langi Ghiran 2018 Cliff Edge Shiraz (Grampians)

This taut, somewhat austere cool-climate Shiraz has a nose of fresh red currant, plum and dried savory herbs. The palate feels polished if a little forced, with elevated acidity and firm, sinewy tannins that aren't for the faint of heart. Cut through them with some aged hard cheese or a rare steak.
