Mount Tamalpais 1999 Merlot (Marin County)

Ripe cherry aromas and flavors come to the fore in this pretty wine. It's medium bodied and elegant, displaying firm, ripe tannins and an interesting herbal edge for added complexity. One of the few wines to emerge from Marin County, better known for surfing and mountain biking. A fine first release.
