Mt. Difficulty 2002 Roaring Meg Pinot Noir (Central Otago)

Seems a little underripe—surprising for a 2002 wine from Central Otago. Ashy, peppery aromas and flavors mix with sour cherries and earth. Herb-crusted meat dishes will help bring out the fruit and tame the wine's dry tannins. Joe Czerwinski
