Mt. Difficulty 2018 Bannockburn Pinot Noir (Central Otago)

Like the Roaring Meg, this is quite reductive on the nose at first, although it does open up much more quickly with air, and then offers appealing orchard fruit, woodsy spice and light vanilla and chocolate oak notes. In the mouth, chalky tannins cinch the silky fruit and spice. Christina Pickard
