Mt. Monster 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon (Limestone Coast)

Ripe red and black berry fruit, licorice, dried spices and florals and mint make up the nose, along with some toasty oak. On the full-figured palate, that plush fruit turns a little sour and the alcohol feels a touch warm. There's an apparent woodiness, too. Christina Pickard
