Mt Yengo 2020 Shiraz (Adelaide Hills)
From one of Oz's only indigenous-owned wineries, this is a ripe, appealing Shiraz. It opens with primary fruit aromas of raspberry, cherry and plum. Earthier notes of vineyard floor, cloves, minty oak and mocha follow. There's tart cherry oak acidity on the medium-bodied palate. The oak is subtle flavor-wise but adds textural weight, particularly when combined with the ripe fruit. There's a vanilla-cherry finish. Drink now and over the next few years. Christina Pickard
