A big, rubbery, gaseous nose is not clean, welcoming or lush. That said, this tannic, hard-bodied Tempranillo is pumping savory oak flavors as well as baked blackberry, baking spice and salty notes. A toasty, massive finish simmers away before spilling hard tannins and overt oak. Drink 2016–2022. Michael Schachner
