Mulderbosch 2003 Chardonnay (Stellenbosch)

Although not barrel fermented, there is still plenty of oak to this wine. A toasty nose of vanilla and caramel caresses green fruit, and in the mouth steely acidity undergirds intense flavors of tropical fruit, citrus and sweet oak. The harmonious balance suggests this wine will maintain its character throughout this decade.
