Nederburg 2001 Private Bin Cabernet Sauvignon (South Africa)

A mid-weight with a pleasing, smooth palate feel and tart, dried cherry and cranberry qualities. But it's also rather woody, and the oak starts to dominate as it opens. Still, many people enjoy lots of oak, here used interestingly against atypical-for-Cabernet light berry fruit. Closes long with dry, even tannins.
