Newlan 1999 Chardonnay (Napa Valley)

There's a strong leesy, cheesy note on top of apple and peach fruit, in addition to a moderate dose of oak. That leesy quality returns in the finish, where it turns slightly bitter and spicy. This is a nice, pleasant, mildly complex wine.
