Neyen 2015 Espíritu de Apalta Carmenère-Cabernet Sauvignon (Colchagua Valley)

Editors' Choice

Ripe, foresty aromas of cassis, sous bois and root beer are classy and elegant. While this is saturated on the palate, it isn't outright syrupy or fat. A ripe berry fruit flavor profile includes spice notes and a hint of minty green, while chocolate mint and spice flavors take over on a lush and saturated palate. Hailing from a hot year, this is a delicious and well-balanced fruit bomb to drink through 2024. Michael Schachner
