Saucy aromas of tomato, red plum, currant and green herbs are low on ripeness, especially for a blend of Carmenère and Cabernet Sauvignon from Apalta in the Colchagua Valley. A tight and narrow palate is more hollow than full, likely a reflection of harvest rains in 2016. Saucy, herbal plum flavors are mildly green, while this finishes long but light, with buttery oak notes. Michael Schachner
