Nickel & Nickel 2002 Vogt Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon (Howell Mountain)

Dark, dry and firmly tannic, this seems to be one for the cellar, although for how long is a challenge. The fruit is terrifically ripe in black currants and cassis, and the tannins are gorgeously thick, but there's a softness that makes me wonder if the balance is there for very long.
