The concentration of old vines is very evident in this wine, which uses fruit that was sourced from a portion of old vines in Niepoort's Quinta da Pisca. There is a touch of bitter cherry, as well as a firm, dense core that shows a fine balance of acidity. This is powerful, full-bodied and packed with dark fruit—for long-term aging.
