Nigl 2016 Eiswein Grüner Veltliner (Niederösterreich)

There is something brisk, lifted and lemony on the nose, framed with a herbal savoriness that recalls lemon balm and the ethereal headiness of freshly crushed wild thyme. The palate opens with supremely tart and lusciously sweet flavors at the same time, filling the tongue and mind with lemon freshness. The endless and rather tingling finish still echoes with peppery verve. This is concentrated, pure, precise and precious. Thrilling is the word. Drink until 2040, at least. Anne Krebiehl MW
