This wine, from a vineyard first planted in the 1860s, has good balance an a distinctive flavor profile, as meaty earthy nuances vie for attention with delicious plummy flavors and a broad, rather soft texture. Full body gives the wine a little grip on the palate in lieu of heavy tannins. Jim Gordon
