Northstar 2016 Red (Walla Walla Valley (WA))

Cellar Selection

Merlot (51%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (47%) make up the heart of this wine, which is finished off with Cabernet Franc. Principally from Anna Marie and Spring Valley vineyards, inviting aromas of plum, currant, vanilla, black raspberry, black cherry and spice lead to soft, palate-coating fruit flavors that show compelling balance. Firm tannins that need some time back it up. It brings a sense of freshness and intensity that delights. Best after 2023. Sean P. Sullivan
