:Nota Bene 2017 Ciel du Cheval Vineyard Red (Red Mountain)

This blend of 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Cabernet Franc and 24% Merlot is a dark, fuller-bodied affair that aged for nearly two years in a combination of once-used American and French oak. Dark-raspberry and rose-petal aromas waltz with traces of saline and wet straw. The flavors are darker, with black cherries dominating black tea, vanilla extract and orange citrus. The tannins are grippy and the acidity is modest. Michael Alberty
