Cabernet Sauvignon makes up half of this blend, with the rest equal parts Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Aromas are all high-toned at present and initially wood forward, with brooding notes of vanillin and woodspice followed by dark fruit. The flavors are pitch black and, despite the boldness of the oak, show a very pretty sense of styling.
