Fine oak, mineral, natural heat and power are all part of the sexy nose. Primary black cherry and plum flavors are warmed up by mild oaky char, but the barrels that enveloped the wine for 16 months were once-used so there isn't much overt vanilla or woodspice. Smooth across the palate and structured on the finish. Nothing is out of place; drink now through 2012.
