Oban 1969 Rare Edition 32 Year Old Western Highlands Single Malt Whisky Natural Cask Strength

Autumnal gold/wheat field/honey color. Opening whiff unearths honey wheat toasted bread, light caramel and gently sweet malt; air contact unleashes attractive earthy/woodsy scents of pine, grass, sweet oak and a distant trace of sea breeze. Palate entry emits lightly toasted tastes of wheat bread, honey, fino sherry and oaky vanillin; by midpalate, a hint of lightly salty sea breeze enters the taste profile and beyond that there's an astringent underpinning flavor of wood resin. Aftertaste is medium-long, moderately sweet and composed. Vividly youthful despite its age. P.P.
