This is as pure as a wine can be—all Syrah from a single clone and single vineyard. Dark and sappy, it sends up whiffs of smoked meat and cassis, wrapping those flavors in streaks of fresh cut tobacco. Tannins are ripe and firm, with hints of black olive. The wine is well-built, balanced and lingers generously.
