Occhipinti 2014 Siccagno Nero d'Avola (Terre Siciliane)

Sunbaked soil, leather, game, crushed black olive and black-skinned berry are some of the aromas you'll find on this earthy, soulful red. The vibrant palate has great energy, delivering creamy black cherry, spicy blueberry, orange zest and carob alongside fresh acidity and lithe tannins. You'll be rewarded if you open this up at least a few hours ahead of time to let it breathe and fully open up. Drink after 2020. Kerin O’Keefe
