This firmly structured wine opens with fragrances of violets, rose, woodland berries, balsamic notes and cedar. The bracing palate is still young and wound up but delivers black cherry, red raspberry, coffee, cinnamon and licorice alongside lively acidity and compelling tannins that should soften over the next few years. Drink after 2022.
