A compacted nose smells of black fruits and olive, while the palate is defined by hard-clamping tannins. Baked, rubbery blackberry and beefy flavors finish with tannins so rough that they starch the insides of your mouth. In every way this comes across as a dry-farmed wine from a hot vintage.
