Sourced from red slate soils, this medium-bodied yet notably supple, mouthfilling dry Riesling balances crisp, cutting notes of white pear and grapefruit against a decadently smoky, salty undertow of minerality. It's a zesty, invigorating wine that's delicious young but complex and concentrated enough to improve well through 2035 at least. Anna Lee C. Iijima
