Opaque 2017 Malbec (Paso Robles)

Quite dark in the glass, this bottling shows black-cherry jam and nutmeg aromas on the nose. There's a satisfying viscosity on the palate, where rich blackberry and licorice flavors lead into a caramel and vanilla finish, with fresh acidity to keep it in check. Matt Kettmann
