Ophidian 2018 Pinotage (Western Cape)

This is Pinotage-errific. It shows all the classic hallmarks of the variety—ripe, bold black berry and black plum characteristics topped with hearty doses of oak spice, sweet smoke and cocoa. Those notes all carry through to the smooth, satiny palate, with gentle tannins and a long, cocoa-kissed and cherry-fueled finish. Lauren Buzzeo
