Oregon Solidarity 2018 Pinot Noir (Rogue Valley)

This is the third and final release of the Oregon Solidarity wines, created to help southern Oregon growers whose contracts were cancelled by the California buyer during the 2018 harvest, ostensibly due to smoke damage. Like the Chardonnay and Rosé of Pinot Noir that preceded it, the wine proves that there was nothing wrong with the grapes. Black cherry and cola flavors open this young and approachable wine, with soft tannins and a touch of lemon tea. It's a food-friendly, solid effort, and all proceeds return to the growers.
