Oregon Territory 2017 Pinot Noir (Oregon)

This lovely wine is 80% Umpqua valley and 20% Willamette valley fruit, aged a full year in one-quarter new French oak—pretty high standards for a $20 Pinot. It's soft, smooth, well modulated and showing light rhubarb, strawberry and pie-cherry fruit. No need to wait on this wine: it's drinking perfectly right now. Paul Gregutt
