Blended with 21% Merlot and aged in just 20% new French oak, this appealing wine features notes of red currant, black cherry and fresh green herbs. It's lighter in style but has good concentration and depth to the cherry and herb flavors that are backed by firm tannins and mouthwatering acids. It may run a bit too herbal for some tastes but acid hounds will swoon. Sean P. Sullivan
