Osborne 1999 Solaz Red (Tierra de Castilla)

Striving for complexity with plenty of cedary, toasty wood over cherry fruit, this Castilian Tempranillo–Cabernet blend aims high. It falls short of its aspirations, turning lean and somewhat astringent as green tobacco, herb and puckery, tart red fruit flavors take over. Finishes short and slightly raspy.
