This Bordeaux variety is rarely bottled on its own outside of Chile, so it's a real treat to see such a stellar domestic bottling. Densely packed aromas of graphite, thyme, sage, moss and button mushroom seamlessly mingle with the cranberry and blackberry core on the nose. It's equally compact and intense on the medium-bodied palate, where earthy and herb accents play well against the plump berry fruit. Showing grip and drive now, this should hold well through 2028.
