Fruit from Seven Hills and Pepper Bridge vineyards is sourced for this pure Merlot. In this somewhat difficult year it doesn't quite hang together; the fruit flavors run from prune and raisin to simply grapy. Citrusy, chalky acids seem not quite integrated, giving the finish a somewhat disjointed feeling.
