Ott & Hunter 2018 DBR08 Red (Columbia Valley (WA))

The wine name is a tribute to the winery's founding in 2008, with this a blend of 55% Syrah and 45% Grenache. With grapes coming from Boushey, Elephant Mountain and Sugarloaf vineyards, the plum, raspberry and herb aromas show a lot of purity. The palate doesn't fully deliver on all that promise, with the fruit flavors not entirely sticking together through the finish. There's still plenty of rich, fruit-filled goodness to be had. Sean P. Sullivan
