Oveja Negra 2007 Rosé (Central Valley)

Best Buy

With most rosés, the key is getting at them early. This is a case in point; tasted early in 2008 the wine has more than adequate freshness and verve. It's smooth and shows raspberry and plum aromas, while the palate slides toward strawberry. It's a little scattered and breaks up on the finish, so the sooner you drink it the better it'll be.
