This is basically Sauvignon Blanc, with 10% Carmenère added in for body. As a result, the nose is chunky and smells lightly of pumpkin and squash. A tangy palate is oily in feel, with green-fruit flavors. Popping acidity pushes a salty tasting finish. Michael Schachner
