Owen Roe 2018 Lenné Vineyard Pinot Noir (Yamhill-Carlton)

This has a savory streak running from the blackberry fruit right on through the tannins, which finish with a lick of breakfast tea. The toast and coffee highlights that inform all of Owen Roe's 2018s are here as well, though the finish is astringent and cuts out a little quickly. Let it breathe and the baking spices come up front and center. The wine was aged in 30% new French oak for 10 months. Paul Gregutt
