Oyster Bay 2016 Pinot Noir (Marlborough)

This is a plush and plummy Pinot full of florals, red and purple fruits, and some cinnamon stalkiness. It's bright and light-bodied, with a slightly savory finish. Chill down and slurp. Christina Pickard

A very good wine that embodies what a good pinot noir is like without exceeding expectations. It neither disappoints nor "knocks-your-socks-off." Flavors are mainly pomegranate with a hint of green apple. That is, slightly sour offset by its subtle sweetness. Thicker mouthfeel and mediocre color. It isn't as dark as i'd like a pinot noir to be.
