Hailing from the northern part of the growing zone, it leads with aromas of ripe black fruit, tilled soil, saddle leather and truffle mingled with hints of balsamic herbs. The palate delivers layers of dark cherry, mint, sage and mineral alongside firm tannins. Despite the forward vintage this is a bit austere but should soften up soon. Drink 2015–2021.
