Merlots from the Okanagan are more sculpted, less fleshy than those from Washington or California. That said, this wine offers great finesse, tension and detail. Tart plum, black cherry, red licorice and a streak of sandalwood are nicely integrated and buttressed with juicy acids. Tannins are firm and tight, and the structure suggests it will age gracefully through 2025. Paul Gregutt
