Palazzo Vecchio 2013 Riserva (Vino Nobile di Montepulciano)

Leather, porcini mushroom and balsamic aromas of camphor form the subtle, earthy nose along with a whiff of cedar. The smooth, medium-bodied palate offers dried cherry, tobacco and baking spice alongside drying, fine-grained tannins. It still has fresh acidity but drink sooner rather than later to capture the remaining fruit. Kerin O’Keefe
